Who can apply?
- Domicile: provincial commissions mostly require a domicile of that province; FPSC posts are allocated by provincial/regional quota and open merit.
- Age: set separately for each post. Many entry-level posts are in the 21–30 or 21–35 range, with relaxation allowed under government rules.
- Qualification and experience: exactly as written in the advertisement for that case number.
Step-by-step application process
- Find the advertisementCommissions publish numbered adverts (for example “Advertisement No. 11/2026”) on their websites and in newspapers.
- Register onlineCreate a profile with your CNIC, email and mobile number. Applications by post or by hand are usually not accepted.
- Select the case/postYou can apply for several posts, but each needs its own application and fee.
- Pay the feeUse the bank challan or mobile/online payment method stated in the advert, then upload proof if asked.
- Screening testShortlisting is often by an MCQ test; download the syllabus and admission certificate from the website.
- Written exam and interviewSenior posts may have a written exam; all posts end with an interview.
- RecommendationThe commission recommends successful candidates; the department issues the appointment letter.
Common mistakes that lead to rejection
- Applying with the wrong degree field or for the wrong case number
- Claiming experience that cannot be proven
- Wrong domicile or quota
- Missing the last date (applications close at a set time on the final day)
